Yup. People automatically assume account sharing but I don’t think they realize how fast you can level in terms of total days if you simply care more about the game than being healthy.

On Tunare server, live back in the day, the first char to 60 was a Ranger who killed BBM dwarfs about 16 hours a day while supported by a rotating crew of out-of group guildmates. (The term "powerlevel" was not in use back in the days of stone knives and bearskins, I guess we weren't cool enough.) It took him 2 weeks. I do not recall if he was first across all servers, or only on Tunare.

I cannot see how that differed in any meaningful way from Mannastone's scheme (i.e. develop a plan in advance to hit 60 as fast as possible using commonly available knowledge and current ruleset pushed to an extreme.) He could've saved a couple days had he been a Rogue instead of a Ranger, but I always thought it was cool that the server first L60 was a hybrid even if he did cheese it with ungrouped support.

Can we please naturally turn in bone chips at a normal human input level of rate and flow so that we may naturally attain levels from mobs we killed and items we collected by naturally killing said skeletons.

I have a dream, and that dream is to hit level 20 on bone chips some day while wearing raw hide and using a bronze rapier. Please help me achieve that dream, naturally.

Amen.

Negative Nerd: "Hardware in 1999 couldn't handle that many corpses."
Castle2.0: "Okay, I spread them out across Antonica."

I have already been thanked enough for inspiring a generation of elves to seek out the ancient quests and hidden secrets that our forefathers have missed. But in regards to the overreaction that brought the "Exp Quest Moratorium of 2020"... I didn't string that bow, I didn't pull back that arrow. I was the target, that is all.

Incorrect. I seek to explore the unexplored in a world of mass delusion where everyone has been fooled that there is nothing left to explore.

Manadancing. Soloing PoD in classic. #1 DPS'ing. And I am not done yet.

I will inspire millions (of pixels) in the form of thousands of digital-elves to seek the apex of Norrathian exploration.

The exploratory spirit... always finds a way

I mean....I'm pretty sure this is how the highest elf court justified the turning XP moratorium, you should take it up with them. I'm pretty sure they'd tell you the same thing. I'd say they are pretty peak elf logicians. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And addressing bardp1999 - no, quests turnins are not exploits. Even if you were to spread tons of corpses all over norrath, GMs in classic would probably get hip to it somehow, just like the GMs today. So, actually, tautologically....."classic."

And yep, the GMs -are- winning lol you're the one sitting here bitching about it and still playing here. They are gonna do whatever "unclassic" things they want and people are still gonna play.

You're not "winning" any argument here now. The quest nerf is done. There won't be a reopening of Teal because....there wasn't a huge population explosion in Kunark. That's because far fewer people "came back" than anticipated because.....many people on P99 (and lots of people that don't play P99) actually -dont like- classic EQ.

Tooljin gonna tooljin lol.

Pure argumentum ab auctoritate. Sorry, might doth not make right.

I don't believe GMs in classic with the classic GM tools available would find 100 corpses stacked on each other (which look like 1 corpse) hidden in a zone somewhere.

Maybe the GMs should stop tracking which computer you're logging in from and any other such modern tools to make the GM'ing "classic" as well *eye roll*

I'm not the one "bitching." You're the only one mad in a huff. I'm just basking in the awesomeness of what is possible along with my fellow elves. At the same time, I am making a point about the sledgehammer reaction we saw from Devs.

Keep pretending classic is what you think it is, and keep imagining many are against that caricature. I don't think either is quite true. Good day sir!
