While a commendable troll, the gender argument is absurd. Men are male and women are female by definition. Males bear a Y chromosome and/or produce sperm cells by definition. Females bear two X chromosomes and/or produce eggs. Yes, there are interred people who do not fit nicely into one category or the other. However they, like everyone else have no choice in the matter.

Masculinity and femininity can be fluid, but maleness and femaleness are immutable and very narrowly defined. Yes, "gender" encompasses social and cultural roles, but those roles are little more than an extension of the natural propensities exhibited by each sex over the 160,000 year or so history of our species. Gender is also binary, again by definition as either male sex or female sex.

Do some people harbor a profound desire to be and be treated as a member of the opposite sex? Sure. Does that mean they are? No. Should others be compelled to join in the delusion? No, just as those with such inclinations should not be compelled to adhere to "social norms" so long as their behavior does not harm others.
