It's obviously corrupt. But this administration is neither the first nor last to attempt to shape the way dumb, credentialist reporters with soft Ivory Tower lives report on them. I am sure many will do its bidding. Some won't.

The propaganda put out by the state is far more corrupt than the White House press corps or whatever they call that group of reporters who either softball or ask stupid questions. It's in fiction, it's in the radio, it's at football games, it's on every third billboard.

Media and State will never be separated as long as lobbyists exist, corporate personhood exists, and there's a fast track for the children of executives to do things like go to Ivy League schools and become reporters that work in the White House.
