Watching the handmaidens tale, pretty good, totally far fetched but also its what the left is pretty sure the right wants the world to be like.
Empower the weakest people behind the strength of most powerful and give them the ulitmate freedom. Its high time we broach this subject and someone explain it to me. Democrats are about socialism, or they were, the smart ones, lets forget those triggered GAP dressed idiots for now. While conservitives are for, free speech and giving the little guy a voice! What is the difference between socialism vs a conservative fighting for the little guy? Helping the poor person that cant get a job, that cant make their way in this globalist world? Whats the difference between you fighting for people who are too dumb to help themselves, and a democrat trying to increase funding to school programs, to help the same people?

School funding ... well you cant fix something by throwing money at it. The education system needs reform, not a shiny new iPad for every student, and 10 for the bureaucrat who made the whole system too big to fix. It's not that socialism is a remedy to the education system, it's already the leading problem as to why it's failing. But every socialist thinks the fix is to throw even more socialism at the problem ... well until communism abounds. Socialism is just communism on training wheels.
btw how many times have you been hit my a car? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Really though, the whole situation, it's not dependent on just a single region of the world. I think this is one of the biggest differences in comparison to say the very historic Cuban Missile Crisis (we are in history yet again). So, it's not just NK, but we have in direct relation Iran and Pakistan to NK. Those are NK's close allies and very active in their own hot spots causing not only concern but too taking actions. So this involves at least three regions, India, Syria and SK with Japan. And all three countries in question (NK, Iran, Pak.) are able to project munitions far beyond their borders. And really those are only the adjacent countries in the firing line, this is pulling in many countries including all the nuclear powers (US, Israel, China, Russia, Great Brittan etc.). And we don't even know where China stands in this, though Russia is becoming obvious. NK is their border state after all. But the threat of NK may very well be underestimated. The estimate is that they have some 30 nukes and 13 years ago were given plans by Russia on how to build Enhanced EMP warheads. Those are miniaturized, very low yield weapons, but cause great havoc on electronic systems over a wider area than regular nukes. Again, I'm not saying it will or won't happen, but I recognize the threat and the possibility, and the need for preparation just in case. The analogy fits, I've seen plenty of people dart through traffic thinking nothing will happen to them, it's just human nature, and a bad one at that. China making moves on SK over the THAAD system, while Israel hitting an Iranian weapons depot manned by Hezbollah in Syria.

Simply put, why not just increase the pay teachers get so it becomes a more desirable job for the more skilled and intelligent people of the country? Why not try some of the educational practices that some of the best schools in the country, in BLUE states have taken up? Why insist that people who have higher educational standards, reforming your countries education is wrong, but haveing politicians from the lowest educational standards parts of the country reform education?

That has never been a reality, their warheads are about 1942 level. not saying they wont get there in 20 years, but in 20 years I am sure a diplomatic solution will have arisen, and it wont be anyone on the right that will be able to take credit for it, sorry. Probubly the new world power, China will.

you guys support defunding education to the point that being a teacher is something only someone who is incapable of being employed would want to be.
Then you're surprised when the teachers are fucking idiots. come on dudes, its not that hard, just encourage smart people to be teachers again. Money is the ultimate encouragement when it comes to WORK so, lets bail out the schools, instead of banks eh? NAH THATS CRAZY

Of course that won't apply to their own districts (rural, suburbs), which will receive generous support. It's those other districts (urban) that are the problem! Kind of like how the coal miners who lost their jobs to automation and natural gas need the government to take care of them, because they are overwhelmingly red voters, but it's a free market solution for everything else! Next on the socialist Republican sights: the logging industry-- fuck the free and unfettered flow of goods and services, we're going to smack a fat tariff on Canadian lumber. Socialism for my voters, the Jungle for yours.
