am i right in thinking that "virus tests", I don't know the word for it, detect antibodies instead of the viral genome itself or whatever words make more sense?

the only "virus test" i can think of presently involves adding antibodies into blood sample which will do something you can see visibly with a microscope, like fluoresce, if activated (ie, if the added immunoglobulins react with viral body). so you are testing for the viral bodies themselves using antibodies known to be triggered by viral body.

No, this is viral. It's hilarious because it's a viral virus. It's blowing itself out of proportion because it's so appealing. We now have a meme-driven bullet-point society where the news cycle is geared toward the chronically overstimulated. You need to keep increasing the dosage in order to get the same fix. So you get this virus, and it hits the news and they're all hungry for it cause nothing else is happening, and the knowledge spreads and everyone is hyping it because any scrap of new information means eyeballs.

It's utterly impossible to make a valid scientific claim like this and everyone knows that and yet there we are, it's a real story and people are talking about it. Someone in Israel is getting paid right now because of this.

This whole thing is fascinating because we're all what I call superconnected. It's not just the internet at home and in every device, it's the air travel, the porous borders, the cheap gas and cars, everything. We're all now aware of everything all the time at the same time and we can be anywhere while we do it. It's exciting! People are instagramming their panic buying. We are all in this together, do you like what you see?
