i'm more commenting on what this server seems to do to people. i think most of us can agree cyren's one of the more normal people on the box, and this thread's proof it can happen to anyone if you get too immersed. sometimes we all need to just take a step back and realize that at the end of the day this is a dying 17 year old emulated elf server and nothing that happens on here really matters, before we catch ourselves making posts about dead elves and respect and stuff.

This post didn't seem like it had anything to do with immersion. A grown man was tired of logging into a game where someone was constantly disrespecting and trying to humiliate him.

The only argument is should he have felt disrespected and humiliated? I don't know, but I also don't see why it is a big deal for someone to stop doing something if their officer tells them it bothers them whether or not the person doing it thinks it is a big deal.

I don't see any of this having to do with immersion, just people's personalities and dynamics getting in the way of a hobby someone enjoyed and it ruining their fun.
