Dubious investment advice should have its own thread.

If you really want to grow wealth it is straightforward: spend significantly less than you earn, invest the surplus in a low-cost broad market index fund for >10 years, win... all explained earlier in this thread during a back-and-forth with JurisDictum. Shorting stocks works in Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd movies, please don't listen to Throndor.
