I won’t deadlift without a trap bar
the something like 14% more activation in the low back and hamstrings isn't worth all the pain to me lol. I feel like my form is mmuch more solid on trap bar deadlifts too.

After some prescription meds, a few weeks of chiropractic care and taking it easy I am back at it! Lost a little strength and I'm switching to the hex / trap bar for my deadlifts because it puts less stress on the low back and cracking down on my nutrition.
Good to hear man, if you have time to catch a massage I'd add that to your routine every 2-4 weeks will help the recovery process and it may help relieve that pain. I had a jacked up TFL which dragged my psoas forward and it really fucked my lower discs up. My chiro could only reset it, but ultimately it took a massage every few weeks for it to get to a point where I could release it myself with a lacrosse ball.

It will work great!

Until you tear a muscle and become unable to train this body area for a year or two, quickly losing all previous gains.

your post is a troll because you didnt give your opinion or supporting information mead, why even bother posting?
My philosophy and contributions are well documented here already. You workout according to whatever your goals are. Generally speaking, most people powerlifting go for a 1 rep max. If I’m reading what you’re saying right, he’s saying people should be maxing out with 4 reps instead less than that. Most people generally max out with 1 rep, and base your following workouts according to that. But you can have a personal record (PR) of 2-4 which is great. But it means you can actually lift more than that. So you structure workouts to increase your max, and then work on your more rep PRs.
