This is what happens when you glorify electing "outsiders." Unless you elect a voting majority of outsiders with plenty of intellectual and popular support, Outsiders never accomplish shit in D.C. Andrew Jackson is the last big time outsider I remember, and he (unlike Trump), did come in with a wave of "Jacksonians."

This was the primary argument for Hilary Clinton (not saying I ever believed it even when I said otherwise in the past). Stop electing outsiders, just let an insider that will actually accomplish what they say they are going to for once. Hilary promised...what? A small reduction in student loan debt and parental leave. Not too exciting, but I'm 100% sure she would have done it.
Bernie (the guy I actually want to vote for) may not be able to get anything done in D.C. because he is an outsider. But at least he would highlight every corrupt piece of shit in D.C. as he tried to push for his policies.
