Kushie's are relatively tame. Doab is by far the worst one when it comes to stupid ornamental crap. We found out on Friday that some decorative crap he had was lagging out the entire raid.

I have long loved costumes, but have mixed feelings about hem in EQ. I feel the price of vanity is an intrinsic part of Norrath. Not willing to pay up? Fine, look like shit. ^^

I seem to recall one of the marketplace sets they released would crash people because of the particle effects they had when they launched. That's since been fixed, but it doesn't change how dumb it is.

That is one of the big things that I hate about live, and all modern MMOs for that matter. The pushing of Microtransactions that they try to claim as not buying power. Yet they're more than happy to let you buy Mounts that save you in-game plat, EXP Potions that let you expedite the leveling process, Salvage Potions that let you trivialize tradeskilling, and stupid Fashionquest shit that belongs in Barbie's Island Adventure.

It's fortunate they limit TLPs somewhat in what they can buy, but it's still really fucking dumb. People pay subscriptions to make sure developers continue to work on the game and servers get the necessary maintenance. Everything else should be available through gameplay not some stupid cash shop.

Third-person MMOs are just digital doll houses. Whether you care about what they where or are more interested in their metrics and construction, you are still playing with dolls.
