AI Overview
In Project 1999, the Hand of Glory is a master key that unlocks all doors within the Ruins of Old Guk (also known as "Old Guk"). It is a lore item that can be combined by players who collect the required components. How to get the Hand of Glory To create the Hand of Glory, you must find four different components inside Old Guk and combine them in a specific container. Find the Blood Encrusted Glove. This is a 4-slot container found as a ground spawn in the eastern wing of Old Guk. It can be a tricky item to obtain, as you may need to use Levitation to reach the door to the East Wing. Collect the other components. The remaining parts—the Dismembered Finger, Mutilated Forearm, and Dismembered Thumb—are found as ground spawns in other wings of Old Guk. Combine the components. Place the three smaller components into the Blood Encrusted Glove and click "Combine." This will create the Hand of Glory. Add it to your keyring. To remove the key from your inventory and place it on your keyring, click on any locked door in the zone while the Hand of Glory is in your bags. Changes from original EverQuest In original EverQuest, the Hand of Glory was a much-needed item for navigating the complex dungeon. On Project 1999, however, the quest is less critical for a few reasons: Unlocked doors: Many of the doors that originally required a key in Old Guk are now unlocked on the Project 1999 server. Keyring: The keyring feature was implemented later in EverQuest's life but is available on Project 1999. Once you add the Hand of Glory to your keyring, you no longer need to carry the item in your inventory, freeing up a valuable bag slot. It's still doing this? And my electricity and water prices are going up? Guess I'll bitch and moan and take it right up the tailpipe.

the google AI overview is super fucking dumb, i assume due to the insane amount of traffic google front page gets it's not economical to use a better model than gemini from 2 years ago or a lobotomized verison of flash 2.5
edit: yeah others have noticed also [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What's really damning / interesting / funny / disheartening / scary is that the VERY FIRST result under the AI review is a link to Apple Podcasts that shows the most recent episdoe of this podcast being released today, with the last one being 2 weeks ago, and every week before then.
[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] So if you google something and add "-ai" it will eliminate the AI results, but nobody does that. And nobody's even scrolling past the AI result these days. Wish I haven't seen people google search something and then use the AI results to inform themselves - when it clearly contradicts the actual results Google finds. It's rough out here, yall

lots of people are going to stop using google.com all together, chatgpt browser is available on iphones now so people won't even get links right under the ai making up shit so they won't even notice
chatgpt isn't as egregious as google ai overview with spouting off super obvious incorrect answers so people will trust it more and not even notice if things are wrong / censored on purpose eventually
