I couldn't play in the BOTB, but also yes that is real PVP to me, fighting with no rules, fighting people engaged on mobs, using clickies, using anything and everything to my advantage, attacking people who aren't prepared / half health etc., that's what makes EQ PVP fun to me that it's not fair. If you want fair structured PVP where abilities are limited, everyone starts at equal health and the numbers are always equal WOW Arena might be for you.

think i made it pretty clear since i quit two weeks into the server at level 16 that i wanted nothing to do with this server's exp rate so i don't understand why people are so buttmad and using that as if it's some sort of insult

protip: all you're saying is i'm not a neckbeard that invested 20 days /played to level a character up

Well said. Some of us have wives, girlfriends,kids, full time jobs don't have time to spend 6 months 4-8 hours a day leveling to 60 on a 100 pop server. Not building your toon doesn't make you worse of a player. Colgate proved that in the botb where he was out geared on a game where we rely on gear for pvp.

for a lot of the people the fun of the game was leveling up when server started when every zone had massive pvp for the good spots etc. got a lot more respect for those people who had to tough it out then the char buyers and people rolling now

Bard is actually really easy to level. Why didn't you bring your bard to the BoTB?

i'm aware, but bard was not my original character on this server, i was originally a troll shadowknight(rofl what a mistake)

leveled bard to 55, got the offer for the monk, abandoned and stripped bard entirely, didn't feel like leveling him up to 60 and closing the enormous gear gap needed to compete at the botb

the idea of being the only bard in the tournament without an epic also made me not want to invest the time because it's a key item in those fights
