"I don't regret anything I said then because in the context of the time in which I said it, it was correct. We were told in our task force meetings that we have a serious problem with the lack of PPEs and masks for the health providers who are putting themselves in harm's way every day to take care of sick people," Fauci told O'Donnell.

"When it became clear that we could get the infection could be spread by asymptomatic carriers who don't know they're infected, that made it very clear that we had to strongly recommend masks," he said.

"And also, it soon became clear that we had enough protective equipment and that cloth masks and homemade masks were as good as masks that you would buy from surgical supply stores," Fauci added. "So in the context of when we were not strongly recommending it, it was the correct thing."

It's almost like he said that to try and help stop people from consuming all the PPE healthcare providers need.

Sorry, is that Dr. Fauci explaining his 60 minutes statement in context and strongly recommending masks after being provided more evidence? Holy smokes it is. Hank even said to wear a mask now its crazy. I always trust Hank.

Also science isn't dogmatic. Even if Fauci were wrong about something, and he was wrong about some things related to covid, that doesn't make what we're saying any less correct or at all contrary to best evidence

You want to talk about mental gymnastics? The video you linked supports the argument that people should be wearing masks, I _think_ you might just be too dumb to realize it.

In that video Fauci suggests that if you are symptomatic, or a medical care provider, you should be wearing a mask. Do you understand the implication that has for your own argument? I'll give you a hint. Why do surgeons wear masks and gloves? Are they afraid that your intestines are going to shoot toxic fumes into their face? Or is there an option B?

Covid is spread by droplets and aerosols. Masks stop most droplets, n95 stops most dropslets and aerosols.

How do you explain why the US has African ebola AIDS tier covid infection levels but countries that wear masks and social distance don't? How did Italy get it under control but we didn't? How do you explain away all the studies that show masks help? Just put on a mask Karen
