I didn't get jabbed but I told everyone I did so I wouldn't have to deal with their angry bleeting. Got covid, was mildly ill for a week, now I have robust natural immunity without some frankenstein gene therapy experiment circulating in my bone marrow!

Pro-tip for youngsters. Offer to work the first week free until your employee is comfortable you can handle the job. That is how I got my first truly sweet job as a short-order cook. I was a 19 and on the road. This was in Berkeley and was the punk hang-out. Only had 5 tables. At the time I was a deadhead leavin' the tour, tired as fuck. "I tell you what, I'll work the first week for free, and I'll pay for the eggs I crack, no problem."
That was a cool job man. 1982 was punk bomb time. Flipper parked their van in the back, and Ted slept in it, and he would come in when I opened the place at 6am, "coffee!!" Another day, another day of speed for Ted.

Also, from what I’ve read in the past, a decent amount of users here see working and being a “wage slave” as beneath them somehow. This is despite the obvious benefits of it creating structure in their lives, providing regular socialization in most jobs (something many users clearly lack due to their communication/social skills displayed here), and some sense of purpose and bettering their community by providing a valuable service I’m sure their unemployed routines are doing wonders for their mental health, not being a “wage slave” and all. Gotta fight The Man by staying inside getting fat not talking to people and playing video games all day

I bolded the part that made my jaw drop. Are you serious? Some people here think that not putting in your time, in these united states, maybe being frugal, you end up with a pretty good deal as time goes by? Fuckin A. Wait. Do they still expect a house? If they on the road then why not, you can always sleep up in an underpass, so we cool then. I'm a 3 time I-80 veteran baby. Ain't nothing wrong with the road, as long as you fucking plan and understand, the US interstate highway system is not your canopy bed. But are they expecting like, you know, a house, electricity as you please, heat, etc.? A residence? With streets and sewer? I'm early series Gen X. No self-respecting Gen X'er thinks this way. It's madness. No true Gen X-er thinks such things.

Unlivable which is also hilarious when illegals work for fucking pennies and somehow find a way to survive by cramming 15-20 of them into a tiny shack or apartment, while these whiny millennials don’t even want to have to consider having multiple roommates in an apartment in a shitty part of town. Nope, for them it’s either a big fancy house on a McDonald’s wage with a skillset that involves mediocre video game player. or Capitalism Has Failed Us All It’s just lazy unskilled people who never took any pride in their work before and likely cut corners every chance they got looking for an excuse to become “black pilled” and indulge their lazy hedonisms for as long as they can ride that SSID wave or being a worthless freeloader in their parent’s or relative’s home IMO anyway

I bet we disagree on a lot but the value proposition of a good work ethic in life is not going to be one of them lol. Fact! Oh god save the fools, I say. Magnateress has the idea. Discipline is your skill-set habits. Skill-set habits are your productive routines. That can be everything from how you wake up in the morning to your actual work skills. You don't really take the mind out of it. You do your habits with care to do them well, correct? Well, that's skill. That's mind. I clean my kitchen and do the dishes. Full power. Ok, I do drift. But I am careful. And if you do something with care, that's what that word "mindfulness" means. (we keep inventing new words for old ideas...). Sigh. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxBQLFLei70 It's bone-simple basic sense. It also improves your in-game performance, tbh.
