The optics were never good when you had the counters say “hey, we got these late night ballot boxes, let’s go ahead and put the cardboard over the windows so no one can see us and continue this count”

I personally understand the reason for it, but still it’s completely shit optics to do something like that

Really 2020 should be a permanent lesson that mail-in’s are typically counted last, and Dems are far more likely to do mail ins than Republicans

So any initial Republican lead is always going to be irrelevant. It doesn’t matter how you start, it matters how you finish
