Mana Preservation 3 focus are extremely few and far between in Velious.
  • Obulus Death Shroud from Sebilis (but anyone worth their salt uses Shawl 8 for FT3)
  • Crystalline Torque from some Velketor named (yea remember that 12 AC piece of crap you threw away on P99? It saves 0-10% mana on every cast shortly after Luclin launch)
  • Sky Watchers Monocle from Feshlak (remember that crappy caster mask going for almost no DKP, again gets mana pres in Luclin)
  • Lady Nev's Left Eye (This is probably the lolsiest of the mana pres. 15 to all melee stats and 50 HP... Yet it gets mana pres so it goes from a BiS monk/rogue type item to being BiS Caster even with 0 mana)

So there really isn't much mana preservation action going on for the people on Phinigel right now unless those Torques are super common.

Mana Preservation 2 focus caps at level 44, and degrades up. So a 53 spell would only save a maximum of 5.5% mana.

The more important thing I think is that WIS/INT calculations are different on live causing higher mana pools. Atleast in this era it factors in more than mana pres foci do.

Ssra had some really baller mechanics.

Even something as simple as XtC was a huge change up. A mob that Rampaged every round meant you had to run two CH chains simultaneously while keeping your tanks cured of the Debuff. No more "just spot heal the ramp tank" strat.

High Priest encounter though I only did it a handful of times when modern, was also incredible. Remember those banishment spells that went on page 32 of your spell book? Yea pull those bitches out and actually use them!

Emperor was a great one. I have mixed feelings on the banes but I really liked how the event required all forms of CC. Unmezzable slowed mobs for your knights to offtank, unslowable mezzables for your Enchanters to lock down, main boss for your raid to tank, and respawning adds if you're too slow for DPS to handle. Great all around event.

Luclin crushed Velious in every way. Hell some of the best parts of Velious, came during Luclin. Shawl 8 Quest and Vulak Ring event namely being great examples.
??????

You drunk?

Shawl 8 isn't in game until Luclin, so most casters use Obulus Death Shroud if they can afford it (very rare, sells for ~30k). Velks is super popular though, usually 3-5 instances running so the Torque is pretty common but still sells for 10k or so.

Damn I didn't realize Daybreak was that accurate with their progression servers. I thought they had just left all the Shawls and Iksar epics in! I knew when it was implemented on live, wasn't aware they'd pulled it until Luclin launch though.

Phinny is way more accurate than some of the other TLP servers they've done. They un-revamped most the zones (loot/mechanics wise, the graphical/geometry overhauls are still there).

The way they broke the Shawl 8 is just made it so you can't get the Etching tools from the dwarf jeweler, you can still collect everything else though.

Well most of it was collectible before they even introduced it. I guess the shimmering geonid drops being the only exception.

What did they do with Cazic-Thule? Is it a level 20-30 dungeon or is it the 50+ revamp version? I'd guess the former because a lot of that gear in CT is OP in Velious. Those FT3 boots I'm sure will sell for several Kronos.

It's still a lowbie dungeon. I got some good exp there when I was a lowbie.

SODOR RAILWAY: Hiro

Hiro was the first steam engine to arrive on the Island of Sodor and was originally know as the "Master of the Railway." Hiro is one of the oldest and strongest engines on the Island.

Fun Fact!
Hiro is based on a Japanese National Railways Class D51 built by Kawasaki.
