Does this mean that majority of murderers in these cities are democrats? This may surprise people but I think no. I bet the majority of these killings are gang violence, and I also bet the people involved don’t give a flying fuck about politics one way or the other

Initially i suspected the murder rates in 2020 would be low on account of the lockdowns and so on. Then I thought the opposite would be true as murders are typically committed by someone close to the victim - so surely the lock downs would have been expected to increase domestic violence and so murders.

Good point. I’m sure that because of a few disturbing videos of particular incidents, it is easy to fall into the trap of assuming most of it is perpetuated by whoever happened to appear in the videos

That is indeed unlikely, as there are many times as many white citizens around as black citizens. But I wonder, if someone does have the data of total incidents of anti-Asian violence and presents it, what would happen I wonder, when that data is normalized for population size? Meaning instead of taking the population as a whole, looking at rates of incidents per 50,000 or 100,000 people? Such equations don’t typically tend to bode well for particular groups but I don’t care to bother with it now

And since I DON’T have the data I’m not saying anything conclusive one way or another. But if there is enough demand for it I will track down rates of inter-racial Asian violence normalized for population size. I’m sure I could find it somewhere

Much higher. Violent crime had been steadily declining for the past 20 or so years. The rates were highest in the late 80’a early 90’s if my memory serves me right (and that article might mention it too)

Within the past few years with 2020 being the worst, the rates have risen to either around the same levels as their highest levels or approaching it. This isn’t exact because this is just based off my reading. I don’t have the hard figures in front of me atm
