With the content available, certain epics are supposed to be difficult to get. Some epics are very difficult to get. Not 100% on this, but I don't think in Velious they added alternative ways to obtain bottleneck epic pieces because of TMO.

This is everquest and the players are part of the encounter regardless of being a PvP server or not.

Yea I agree. The mobs themselves being easy is irrelevant. Current raid scene IS hard because you have to compete with another guild. Example:

There are at least 8 guilds on this server capable of killing Trakanon standing in his lair alone. To kill Trak you probably need like 2 and a half groups of the perfect composition and strong players, 4 - 5 groups for a normal comp. However, there are only two guilds (counting FE/IB as 1) capable of killing Trakanon in the raid scene that existed a week ago. That is, tracking constantly for days, engage Trakanon instantly, having an uninterrupted stall until just enough people get online, and engaging with jugs full pop while groups are likely half made or not at all. All this while another guild is trying their hardest to take FTE and fraps you doing something shady. Competition is what makes EQ hard on this server.

I like cecily...but lets be real the content we are killing is 13 years old there is no competition here its just being a douchebag and denying other people a fun experience. If you want competition play red or counterstrike.
