Clean whistle here bro. One of the few people to also post videos of PvP as well on VZTZ. I was even highly criticized for my use of arrow keys (thanks to Fiegi I have changed my ways)... keep moving along.

I agree most people on VZTZ never posted videos probably due to having MQ up, but I have multiple mass PvP footage.. of some of the bigger box brawls... you can criticize the way I play, but I sure as hell don't hack.

As everyone else has stated, EQ PvP does not require much skill. It's all how you stack you play your class, stack your buff, pumice, and knowing when you can't win a fight.

I don't claim to be some bad ass PvPer either, but I know my class roles, and I know for a fact I do my job very well when it comes down to it.

The thing that I believe Red99 will provide, something that other boxes cannot, is that the characters will feel like "mains" again.

Correct. I think the idea of long term stability will initially keep players grinding along, therefore bringing back that feeling of crafting your character again. The EQemu PvP crowd has done this dance literally hundreds of times, but this will have what the others couldn't give.

just fyi the reason a lot of red players want faster xp is cuz slaying kobolds and frogs for hours on end, day after day isn't rly what makes the game fun for us

And I've always favored PvP anyway. Sanctus Lumen, SZ. More fun playing the biggest underdog team on the most brutal PvP server that ever existed, than logging in to the drama on live, and now P99.

Set up a forum for Red 99...create some interest and keep the dick-waving to a minimum with good moderation. I'd bet over time you'd see some serious interest. And it won't kill P99 either...a lot of players are already gone that would come back for a good PvP box...and who says you can't play both?

If killing mobs bores you, you're playing the wrong game. PvE is part of the game, always will be.

Just my own opinion but I PvP to PvE. If someone is camping what I want, I want the right to destroy them. If a raid is trying to be a jerk, I also want the right to kill destroy them.

EQ PvP has always been a mix of PvP and PvE, and it always will be. To take either part away just seems wrong to me.
