Now I gotta know…what’s the devil’s threesome mean?

I think it's fine to play a female char as a male, as long as you aren't cybering for special treatment and creepy shit like that. Rolling a female shaman and getting a guise is the coolest possible look, I just like the aesthetics better than a male DE. There are way more of those, they're boring.

I mean in a final fantasy game, you're in control of a party with both sexes all the time. You have no choice but to play both, so who cares

Nuh uh, my final party in FF7 was cloud, Cid, Red XIII, two bro’s and a dog. And I started subbing Vincent because he was cool as shit

Final party in Chrono Trigger was Cloud (rainbow sword), Frog (Excalibur + hero medal), Magus (with his badass scythe)

Ooh, yknow what, yea, final party in FF3 involved Terra. She was dual wielding Atma Weapons + offering + gengi glove so 8 swings per round that did 9999 if she was full health

So you’re right, I did have a female FF3 char. I thought Celes was pretty awesome too

For some reason even being a fan of martial arts was never all that into Tifa. Although I do ship Tifa and Cloud, not this Cloud and Aerith bullshit. Aerith belongs with Zack and anyone who disagrees needs to try to watch the end of the game Crisis Core without getting choked up…

Yeah 7 and 3(6) had way more customizable parties. First one I ever played was FF2(4), and that was a lot more linear. Rydia, Rosa or Porom was in your party at some point almost all the time. Rydia and Rosa are both in the party at the end of the game, and Rydia gets all the badass summons. I'll always love that game cause it was the first FF I played.

I'm wearing a sweater with laces on the arms and I have them tied into little bows. Life is fucking great.

Also Aerith <3 I cried.

I cried too the first time I saw the end of Crisis Core. In fact I think it’s one of the saddest video game endings ever

I think one of the mass effect games has a sad one and I saw a list of some other newer games with some sad endings. But Crisis Core is up there for sure

Edit: also cried when Jessie Raspberry died in the FF7 remake. Man they did a great job with that character. Her and Aerith’s voice actresses were just on another level

Zack’s story is really the backstory to Cloud’s story. Stop reading here if you don’t want spoilers…

Cloud and Zack were friends, but only Zack was in Soldier, First Class. Cloud tried out and wasn’t good enough. In fact, Zack is kind of everything Cloud wished he could be. A better fighter, a more earnest and nicer personality, both from small towns. Cloud’s excuse for having a bitter and cynical personality in FF7 is that he has major major PTSD not only from being impaled by Sephiroth (a scene in crisis core) trying to help Zack AFTER Sephiroth had already killed Cloud’s mother and Tifa’s dad, but also afterwards Cloud is poisoned by Mako energy by a Shinra mad scientist wanting to turn him into another Soldier weapon like Zack

So at the end of Crisis Core Cloud’s brain is basically melted by Mako energy, so he can’t help as Zack gives his last words “the price of freedom is steep” and Zack dies in an un-winnable fight against an insurmountable amount of Shinra troops

The really sad part was that Zack was trying to get back to his gf, Aerith, who hadn’t seen him in 4 years while him and Cloud were being experimented on by the mad scientist. But Zack dies before he can get back to her. Cloud crawls over to Zack as he is dying, and Zack says “you will be my living legacy” and part of him imprints on Cloud’s Mako-poisoned mind. This is why Cloud believes he was a Soldier First Class, because Zack imprinted on him during his death. The entire plot of FF7 is actually Cloud trying to discover who he is

The really sad part, and the reason I cried, is because Aerith being an ancient can sense the lifestream. So when Zack dies and Aerith suddenly looks up from tending her flowers (in the video)…even though she hadn’t seen Zack in years and was still waiting for him, she just sensed at that moment that Zack died [You must be logged in to view images.
