I think it's a joke that one of the most toxic communities in any mmo out there feigns offence at this issue. It is more offensive that people pretend to be offended than the actual initial comments and guild name. Like any of you actually give a fuck about the guild name other than to get back at the dominance in tenable way you can. Petition quest and forum quest.

Typical deflection tactic. The problem was not with the name holocaust itself. That name had been GM sanctioned over and over. Were there people who were feigning offense at the guild name itself? I would say so, yes. But that had been the case since day one of the guild from my understanding. Yet, the name was still GM approved. The reason the guild had to be renamed was because of the actions of the people in the guild. The actions were racist, not necessarily the guild name itself. However, when you have a guild name such as Holocaust and you are posting up pictures of corpse swastikas and laughing about it, what do you expect peoples reaction to be? Shouldn't we be offended? Shouldn't we ask for something to be done about it?
To act as if everyone is just overreacting, or being overly sensitive is childish. It should be a lesson to people about what is expected of the player base. But, instead it is turned into a political style debate over the nuances of a word, or who may or may not have commited some other offence at some other time. Those things have zero bearing on why discipline was handed out in this case. Maybe since we're all supposed to be adults here there can actually be someone that displays a little maturity now and then and shows some culpability instead of the constant deflection and bickering we're used to. Sit back, take your comeuppance and quit whining.
