I don't really see the difference among people joining a guild through a merger, by quitting another guild and then joining, and by just straight up joining with no prior guild affiliation.

It doesn't matter how you came to wear the tag, unless you're some disgraced dipshit trying to save face through some poorly formed opinions. What matters is what you do under that tag!

Facts: TMO took down a guild who had years of time and gear on our guild.
We did it in about 3 months
We have held down raids for longer than any other guild
We did it without GM assistance unlike TR/IB

I'll make this really simple for you: It matters given the context. Your context is that you were never in TMO before a merger, so of course you wouldn't care, or for that matter, know anything else.

The true context is that neither TMO or Ascension could have done it on their own, and the reason for the merger was to kill Trak and take mobs. That's the only reason for a merger.

FE has not had to do this, and is still taking mobs from you. For that reason, and for the reason that they will not have been given VP dragons in a forced rotation like TR/TMO was, it will be a much more impressive achievement.

Oh that's right, TMO was handed VP dragons by server staff.

Nobody is handing FE anything, they're earning it inch by inch, and when they finally do down their first one it will be an actual accomplishment.

I think deep down this is what fears TMO the most and something they have always feared and known. Without the Ascenscion folks TMO was crumbling. Their best raiders were leaving in droves to TR/Ascension, then they merged. Then after only 3 months of competing for Trakanons the server staff handed them VP dragons.

The only true accomplishment TMO and it's Fennin Ro core of homos has ever had was when Zeelot successfully trained TR in VP.

Once another guild legitly earns their place in VP, without mergers, without GM assistance if I were TMO I would see the writing on the wall.

I wouldn't be surprised if once it begins TMO doesn't try to absorb BDA or some other guild in an attempt to bolster numbers and stay relevant.

TMO has earned very little of what it now flaunts.

TMO and IB were on equal grounds on VP target rotations. Saying that they were given VP dragons as loot to take on IB/TR is retarded (congratulations). We had less or equal gear compared to IB/TR members (most members had far less gear) so we had more members.

We killed 2 or 3 dragons in VP with IB training us.

TMO would have trained IB/TR in VP granted a rotation or not, you really think 1.5 vp clears worth of gear helped TMO knock out IB in trainwars and killing those dragons? If so, you must be on the pot.

FE is a merger guild btw.

Why do you guys care so much about IB/TR?

This is about you and FE, and how the way FE is going to earn their VP dragons are much more impressive than how TMO did, and indeed how IB did as well given that they were in on the rotation.

I think you're exposing quite a chink in your armor, and it's quite clear what a toll it must have taken on you for your guild to still care lol.

Your response is ignorant. Every recruitment is a merger of a single or multiple entities into another entity. If you choose th have massive recruitment or a guild merger you are taking the good with the bad. The only difference is that it would likely be easier to recruit people then to merge.

Merging causes divide amongst the factions and you have to reconcile the 2+ groups. Recruitment doesn't have that effect. For example IB merged 5+ times and they were constantly falling apart. See Trans merger, TR, or IB Dozekar, Blackwater etc. Its extremely difficult to bring all those factions and strong opinions in line.

TMO has had the first truly successful raiding guild merger on the server. Its because we are able to compromise and include people into our faction. Basically everything IB did, we did better.

We are talking about TR because they are relevant. FE is just another reincarnation of VD, as evidenced last night. They pose no long-term threat to TMO>
