A mob is claimed by being the first to engage it. There's some subtle nuances to it when it comes to people getting DTed that I don't think any of us really understand, but that's the basic gist of it. You want it? Tag it and kill it. Spawnsocks are a lottery.

I hated the IB crew not because they took targets but because they did so by using MQ and SEQ and training people intentionally and without provocation. Oh and because they are fucking twerps mostly. I've never met a bigger group of raging crybaby faggots who were so fucking proud of themselves. I don't really hate any guild in its entirity, even IB; they have plenty of cool people. BDA just happens to have the most vocal collection of retarded blind hatred lately. I think most of BDA is pretty cool. With the exception of Tasslehoff and Sominus/Blink/Harazzer/(whatever those fucking sketchballs go by), everyone I've gotten to know in FE so far has been pretty cool too. Unlike a lot of the haters we have here on p99, I don't let a guild tag dictate whether or not someone is deserving of my scorn. Such a choice would be the mark of an idiot.

Clearly batphone for a small casual guild with only a handful of 60's is an effective way of combating guilds like TMO who actively recruit members that live in different timezones with multiple VP geared/epic'd toons logged out at different targets.

If some guild wants to camp something for 80hours for a mob they need more power to them. Its not like this is trakanon, this is Inny.. If FC decided to sock the shit out of Trak then I think nobody would seriously care when people showed up but we are talking about Inny. If you cant see why its a little ridiculous that TMO cant let some small guild get one Inny spawn when they dont even need anything but the other guild has put in 80 hours then nothing I or anybody else can say will matter.

So recruit 25 bards and have them spam AE DD song so you get a hit on the spot every millisecond? Can't see anyone stealing first aggro from that... until another guild has 30 bards, escalation which would cause newer better rules to be written/enforced?

I'm by no means an expert/pro, but I've been around raiding in EQ long enough to know that what there is right now amounts to nothing than a Fires of Heaven zergfest round the clock... a very bad thing.
