The rich elite and politicians (but I repeat myself) will all escape on private jets sipping martinis headed for the Caymen Islands while the rest of us eat each other.

This is why the Right and Left must unite.

I will happily "deal" with rich people, if you help me "deal" with politicians.

We're on the same page here. I don't know where you stand politically, but I am always dying on this hill over and over around here. We are not one another's enemies, they are our enemies. Politician and rich person may as well be interchangeable terms.

I haven't heard that but if there were a movie I might see it. I ingest all kinds of poison, I just don't like to do it in book form.

You said that so I went looking, I found this, which I hadn't heard of and now might try to obtain. Oliver Stone movies are usually at least interesting.

It's somewhere on these boards while you were away, it has something to do with nationlizing the oil and using reserves to nationalize healthcare/eduation, sepearting the rights of corperations and people, products sold in usa have to be made in usa, bringing troops home (gradually jesus christ not with epople falling off planes) and idk the rest is all the same as whatever anyone says because at that point all the rational people would take back over.

Good luck selling the concept of nationalizing any industry to your pals on the right. Historically, we have either invaded sovereign nations or overthrown their governments for doing that, provided we use the resource they are nationalizing. They will not let it happen here to oil. They won't even let it happen with healthcare and that's a much easier argument than oil.

I do agree with this goal, you're right. I have long said I'd be fine with capitalism for some stuff and socialism for the important stuff, not that the Nordic models aren't also exploiting cheap labor in the developing world.

Capitalism in decay may allow nationalization of certain industries as they become more untenable, someday, but not out of benefit to the masses. That's part of the slow march towards fascism.
