So yeah Zeus rewrote whole the deal, demonizing Prometheus and pretending he was the good guy the whole time.

He probably did this a ton of times, it would explain God's capricious nature and weirdly expansive power set.

For example, the giants in the Greek myth were destroyed through a group effort from The Greek Pantheon. But the Nephilim, the race of giants in the Bible that God purges with the whole Noah Ark thing... that was just him using Poseidon's powers.

And Zeus is respected as the allfather and assigned roles to the others. Even the gods who are not his natural children address him as Father.

Phanes then births what in Hesiod are the primordial beings, first Nyx and then Gaia, Uranus, etc. Thus, in the Orphic creation myth, it is Phanes, not Chaos, that is the creator of the world.
