Wow how many HD you got? I’m already about 100 gigs into my 1000 and that’s just with Skyrim and WoW classic (still need to install P99 but it’s more of a pain)

just 3 1 TB SSDs in it currently, i had 2 other drives in it but they were getting pretty old so i went ahead and didn't bring them over from the previous build, they just have backup files on them now sitting in a drawer

i got the OS running on the internal SDD on the motherboard, that's partitioned to separate the actual Linux OS part and the My Home folder part with my files and config settings so if the Linux OS part breaks it's as easy as just reinstalling that and it will detect my Home partition

and the entire Home Folder is backed up to the other 2 hard drives a copy of it on each

I fucking hate making passwords, especially when Password must contain:

Uppercase
Lowercase
Symbol
Number
Hieroglyph
Magical glyph
Japanese calligraphy letter

We'll be moving to iris scanners pretty soon due to Quantum computing making written passwords extinct so you won't have to remember them or use a password manager anymore

like, the internet is unironically protected from the army of Terminator AI bots by the randomness of a wall of lava lamps currently, this is an arms race were losing every second by the second.

this is like that Transporters in Star Trek problem, each time you beam and reappear it's a different person

Quote:
In Star Trek, the transporter's depiction raises the philosophical question of whether it truly transports the original person or creates a copy. While the show suggests it reconstructs the person using the same atoms and arrangement, some argue it could be seen as a form of controlled disintegration and recreation, potentially resulting in a clone rather than the original.
