Like PC charm. I started as an enchanter on live. That was so nuts and did not belong in the game.
As long as we are talking... Whirl till you hurl? max duration?

I used Whirl and thought it sucked. I remember thinking "wtf its like an eight second mez?" It was not until recently I have heard people say it was the shit in classic. Was it just like a bad ass stun?

It did get fixed. Now the duration is like randomly 1-12 seconds and it tends to break on damage. It's worthless now except for interrupting casts maybe, but you might as well use the level 4 mez for that if you're gonna try. Not that it'll work in PvP once people have any kind of gear.

Fun trick for enchanters:
Weakness and Incapacitate stack, and if you can land a mez on someone (which isn't too hard with tash), you can land both of these as well. That's -120 strength, enough to snare and probably also completely root anyone except planar-geared ogres and trolls. Essentially makes it a like 5-minute root that doesn't break on nukes. It's insane.
