This would just be terrible parenting. Your role as a parent is to help your kids find their passions. We have two daughters and if they told me they wanted to pursue one of those careers I would lay out pros and cons and help them understand what each role would mean.
One thing I have witnessed is my wife, who is a stay at home mother, is that working women are very jealous. They look down on her while also being very envious that she can do that. We've subverted what most women are naturally gifted in, child raising and told them that in order to be successful they have to do what men do.
