unless you are involved in RMT, I simply don't understand putting this amount of effort/work into a dead end server

^^^ THIS EXACTLY

There are currently about 20 posting from June alone on the site that shall not be named that's been in open warfare with the p99 devs. That can't be the only place these low life scum go to hock their wares. Hell there was some dude trying to sell p99 plat in one of the Agnarr twitch stream chats the other day

Want to know why someone is obsessively poopsocking shit after 17 years? RMT or Autism, take your pick...

You gotta realize people jump out of bed at 3A.M. to slay dragons on an emulated server.. That's more so than they will wake up in the middle of the night for their own crying children. This is their baby so it's hard to just let go despite that baby not even being a baby anymore. They think their time will be "wasted" by quitting, so their dreams of conquering Everquest one last time remain. When in fact, by remaining an Everquest EQEmu addict on a conquered server, their lives are going to waste. It's a vicious circle similar to Heroin addiction.

You were either there to see it happen live, or you weren't.

<Rampage> beat P99

It's over.

So if they brought back the sleeper, I guess the poopsocking and time played on p99 would be worthwhile then - going by this logic?

I understand the ridiculousness of how it sounds, when we view it from the perspective of it being a emu server of a game that is 18 years old, but let's be honest here. The majority of people writing this perspective down are not being anymore productive in their lives just because they play Agnarr, or they play some modern MMO.

Pointing out how old this game is, and how people invest tons of time into it isn't anymore worthwhile pointing out than what any gamer does on any game.

From the perspective of a non-gamer, no matter what game you play you are wasting your life away. Just ask them.

This holier-than-thou attitude by people who play on Agnarr or other games is worthy of a chuckle to say the least.

You are a lifewasting nerd whether you are on p99 or Agnarr, and you are beating nothing but your soul dead playing either one. Face it or live in denial.

I feel like you wish people would stop playing just so you can feel better about yourself for some unknown reason and say you conquered EQ. You need people to quit for that to happen or something. Rampage was great but, people will forget about Rampage just like they basically forgot about TR.

Believe it or not some people just like to play classic EQ, and this is the closest thing you will get to it.

People don't need to have some end benefit to justify whatever it is you think needs justification to play and enjoy something. I am going to keep logging in and I will continue to enjoy it while you keep getting butt blasted at people having fun, maybe you'll figure it your for yourself one day.

If this was all there was to it, people wouldn't throw a tantrum at the suggestion of a rotation.

If a rotation is what people actually wanted then maybe they should have jumped at the offer...

Rampage didn't beat P99. It's called Everquest for a reason. Ya'll just cut out loot table from other people.
