What communist government are you trying to compare it to?

There's a long history of the US government (and I assume many others) waiting until prime time, when most people are home, to broadcast a thing, I don't think it necessarily makes it authoritarian

In that long history, when was the last time one political party held legislative branch put the other side on public trial for treason on prime time tv after two failed impeachments by the same legislative branch?

House appts a member to the board, Senate appts a member, something called an Architect is on the board along with Cap Police bossman who doesn't get to vote.

I dunno. I'm not a wonk. I just remember seeing press conferences and presidential addresses and fireside chats and shit like that, before tv it was radio and before that it was a guy shouting

When's the last time a single political party tried to overthrow the federal government? The civil war was a secession, the south wasn't gonna invade the north

The question you should be asking is, when's the last time anyone tried to overthrow a goverment without weapons by capturing the non military branch of the gov's office equipment and then goes home to make dinner without being dispersed by military at 6pm?

Im going to try to not point out that this trial is a farce and the real treason because I'm looking forward to that too.

Last night's TV (though a terribly boring first episode) was better than any of the new dystopian sci-fi's that have come out in the last couple years, so that was pretty rad.

Looking forward to where this series goes.

The only way this is going to be a non violent revolution is if the side that is getting revolted decides to lay down their hundreds of millions of guns.
