He declared state of emergency awhile back. That gives him a wide latitude on what he's able to declare as law. Think of it like a state level executive order. I don't like it but if an uptight cop wants to throw their weight around this will allow them to do so.

IMO this is nothing more than a money grab by the state. They've seen substantial revenue losses across the board so they mandate a bunch of shit like this to try and make up for it. Inslee (and a lot of his blue buddies) are masters at claiming shit like "for the people/public safety" and watching all the idiots believe it. If it wasn't a money grab there wouldn't be a $1,000 fine attached to not wearing a mask.

It is unconstitutional for the govies to use forcie coercies on people over maskies. But like cool and normal for a store owner to set their own policies here. Not cool for a mega Corp to come into my town and decide who gets grocies either, that should be up to the local boss.

It's all pretty straightforward how this should play but we got feds tryna override mayor's n sheriffs. And we got plenty of wasted taxpayer dollars on or related to mask enforcement.

It should be obvious masks are super selectively helpful in specific contexts. And don't really improve public safety a whole lot.

That said I always wish I was the state sanctioned cough courtesy police with the authority to execute criminals who, like, can't properly cover their coughs. Like, not using their fingers. But like maybe an armpit or a nice thick doubled up hsnky.

Our hospital just ran out of high flo nasal cannulas, we don't have the staff to take care of the current covid patients admitted, 3 of our other hospitals are on bypass (max capacity), sedation is in short supply, major surgeries cancelled and on hold again.

Miami area?

Houston is heading that way per my son. He’s a CRNA and they’re done with elective surgeries for now, they’ve asked him to go back to his ICU RN role at his CRNA wages, that’s how short they are. He’s at Houston Methodist in the Texas medical center

Yea, south Florida. Nobody is surprised. Mostly 30s-50s vented in our hospital. The main common denominator is they're mostly all obese. They're also barring visitors from coming into the hospital again. They had a good run (like 2-3 weeks?). It's back to facetime/whatapp/zoom.
