A friend killed Tantor in a similar way, not sure what bow was used. Anything 30+ damage would be ideal to cut down on the shots needed effectively increasing your gas tank. My ranger only has about a dozen empty slots for arrows plus 13 or so on the cursor. That makes quick bows really only good for sprints. Unless I corpsed arrows, lol.
A shaker would add 45 damage a shot over a 11dmg DW setup; there is no way the Swiftwind attack is closing that gap. Basically it would reduce your kill speed by at least half. Bow soloing for xp isn’t fun if it works. Especially in HK with 2k hp nobles/bards, or like in Chardok to kill sarnaks to free up fear room for Chokidai’s.

If you're a non raider only bow that would make sense for that would be velium reinforced. Everything else is too fast or ~0.5 ratio. Equip a 45+ delay weap and have at it.
But like crede said people shit on KC but basement is basically outdoors HS without the HTs. Shit loot but cardboard mobs with an exp bonus. When my ranger gets to mid 50s it is the first place I'm trying. Probably great for knights too.

Yeah that's just so painful to think about because I remember killing one solo, and I'd interrupt my summon casts all the time misjudging distance or just not completely stopping. It's a neat thing to do, but yeaaahh. Not that bad with a primal bow and Earthshaker, but even if you halved that time... 10 mins of prep work for a 32k kill with a bow [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Also factor in time clicking Wuoshi shield (4 sec cast I think), which is like a 5% land chance. WW is the best exp zone.

If rangers were good tanks, nobody would roll anything else. They've got so many tools.

These growing geared players aren't at all over geared for the content. And thankfully no one takes advantage of the low hp, damage from old expansion zones when centralizing for groups. am I right? Do I even need to include the /s?

when I saw the bard equally do the same! I told myself with almost 20% of the class choices with having some type of cast-able slow it was ludicrous to go on with any experience group. I / wrist gear, if you know what I mean right there and then-> think end of times - Jibartik style ... I face rolled delete character on my ranger on the spot. Imagine in an exp group with so many cast able roots... n' some of the best coming from my class being available ever being used for managing. Or even trying to sport a Swarmcaller for proc while managing flame licks casts. Stupid!!!! silly right? 58 rangers can't even manage simply exp tanking old world camps let alone serious business Velious Velk's camps! /holy trinity for days!

Anyone can tank any blue con if slowed. I’ve MA/tanked for PoF and PoH before. You get tore up bad even with an Earthcaller and Vyemm whip.
It’s best to treat the class like riding a motorcycle. Don’t get hit, always have alternative plans and gear ready. I don’t even expect to get heals for AE’s. I enjoy annoying monks on parses more than trying to justify why I should tank stuff. If the mob is on me, the raid has 20 seconds to figure out who to roll a chain on next. Tanking an unslowed flurry without heals for 20 seconds is a lifetime…
