I'm all for socialism but you're not going to have an endless pool of volunteers to keep the economy afloat.

American corporations are too administratively bloated anyway to compete globally, but if we closed the doors, you will have to work the fields, and McDonald's will still get the fruits of all your labor, just through the state instead.

What we need to do is deregulate Healthcare and energy production completely, and just go after honest to God malpractice and pollution. Not let fats sue plastic surgeons and pharmacies into oblivion or allow insurance cartels to set prices.

As for energy, Exons lobby controls what how and where we produce it. It's against the law for a small community or single family to produce their own, go off the grid, or use nuclear tech. Fusion is getting invested in overseas because it's a waste of time and effort to go up against the DoD and Department of Energy or get permits in the states to do anything but pre-existing technology or contract with a regional like Duke energy.

We have become too corrupt and weak for socialism or communism to work.
