I'm fascinated by the illiberal left's love affair with Islam. Aren't they the party of feminism and separation of church and state?

Maybe we need to arm Palestine as much as we arm Israel so we could see how the religion of peace reacts when they have potent weapons of war instead of sticks, rocks, and Russian trash bought off the Syrians.

Talking about how many people die on one side vs how many people die on the other is a bit silly, since it doesn't indicate anything except which side is stronger. Even the strongest nation (USA) can't stop Hamas style terrorism with proportionality. When did proportional killing somehow become the correct way. "We kill 1 person in Hamas occupied palestine for ever 1 person in Israel that is killed"

Besides, US government just sends paypal of like 20,000 dollar worth of bitcoin to hamas to re-start missile attacks whenever they need US population to stop paying attention to domestic policy and impending hyper inflation. "Better heat up the middle east!"

I hope you’re wrong about inflation!! But yeah it does seem like we are about to pay for the $6 trillion spending experiment

Obviously there are no simple answers, but I'd start with not treating Palestine like an apartheid state. No murdering children, no allowing settlers to burn down Palestinian homes, and give the Palestinian people voting rights (in Israel) or get the fuck out of their country. And this goes for anywhere in the world: no country should be occupied by another without voting rights (same damn thing that made us leave Britain).

In short, go back to the two-state solution that was negotiated (and that Israel backed out of).

Lebanon was the wealthiest country in the Middle East when it was 80% Christian and 10% Druze. Now it can’t collect trash in its capital (65% Muslim as of 2021)

P.S. Can you imagine saying to the American revolutionaries "ok, I know you guys want voting rights, but see you what you did with that tea in the harbor? You are terrorists, so now no voting rights for you, but you do have to do whatever Mother Britain wants".

The only difference is that we had France and other better historical factors, so we were able to win a war. All Palestinians can do is fire some rockets.

Uhhh, that’s not the only difference. Our founding fathers were enlightenment scholars (read the federalist papers). I doubt anyone in Hamas is literate, much less a scholar

I think it's kind of an apples and oranges deal (today): the people of Northern Ireland have voting rights.

They could leave the UK if they wanted, and as to whether they should ... it's up to them. But they should do it based on a national vote, not because The Queen said they should stay, or because some bombers said they should leave.

Now you're demonizing people: Hamas can read. But also, Hamas isn't Palestine, anymore than the IRA is Ireland.
