I wonder if one could farm the chatter on social media to see what industries and companies are trending or going to trend in the near future.

There's already a service that does that. Can't remember what it's called though

Hehehe yeah. Nice prose again.

Wondering about Intel now u mentioned nvidia.

Intel is plugging away with mobile products. They could be cresting though.

Face and voice recognition and analytics is booming to. As well as AI assistants, maybe another decade out?

Looking at the markets exploding last year though.

I was like 'fuckin whoa' when i discovered this stuff is going to be ubiquitous in under a decade as poorer countries develop etc. ..

Idk though really.

Would like an actual genius to confirm.
Intel was a fairly solid bet back then as well, but like you alluded to, this era of tech, itself, is reaching maturity. The next big boom resides in whoever decides to branch out into a whole new realm of tech innovation. Intel and nvidia are good investments over the next few years once whatever bullshit is currently going on in the market stabilizes ( but neither one of these are ever going to be exponential again ). With how volatile and downward "tech" is right now, my only tech investments at this time are NIO and TSLA, the rest is in divi stocks (NYMT, GARS, and blackrock) waiting to go back into tech when the bear goes back into hibernation. Cant really complain about getting a 15-18% dividend yield on mostly stable stocks whilst everyone else is locked in on the meltdown. And, damn, i really want Robinhood to go IPO so i can get my money in there, already.

Yep. The "reefer madness" strategy is already convincing the demographic that used to be woke cus they were aware of the reefer madness strategy, that "crypto madness" is the enemy of the climate/world/humanity.

I'm not against crypto. I just want to be able to afford enriched uranium delivery systems with it.

Beware when attention is being called to something. Before the 2008 jousing market meltdown tv was riddled with "flip that house shows" (and rennovate on a negative ammortization loan that you only carry until you resell within 2 years) and an endless stream of "real estate seminar" informercials. This was done so that YOU would buy their toxic real estate assets before the ponzi scheme collapsed. In late 2009 this was followed by all the "experts" telling you to buy gold to protect your wealth (at an ATH that rapidly dove from 1700/oz back down to the 1100ish it remains at today)

Go countercurrent. Fortune favors the bold. Imagine if you wouldve went all in on disney circa mar 2009 at it bottomed out. Disney is in the business of "making culture" its a very lucrative business, much needed by the nanny state to forward its current agenda of secularizing and replacing "God" with socially reconstructed "morality". Why you think their stock at an ATH now?

Haha yeah. I keep thinking that if I'd have been mining my own coin for the last 10 years I'd be able to get some nice cosmetic sugaries.

Pretty good at letting life pass me by...
