That Shiner is my inspiration for wanting to brew my own black lager. Oh god it's so good... not heavy like a stout/porter but the same flavors with a bit more bite from the hops. om nom nom

When i was in high school i stayed at a friends house one night. At 2am we got woke up by his Dad to come outside and help. We get out there and there was a budlight truck. He had a buddy that drove for budlight so they made an arrangement to report the truck stolen. We unloaded beer into his barn for almost 8 hours. My friend sold that beer for 10 bucks a case. Needless to say we had lots of awesome parties as a result for the next year or so. Best times of my life. I forever have a love for Bud Light! As for the truck... We took it to a bad part of town and abandoned it. Then it was reported stolen. WTB a time machine to turn back the clock =(

Miller/Bud Light certainly have a place in virtually every bar in America, and hell if they're 2 for 1 I'm all over that. There are many other beers out there that taste alot better though, and they won't take you 15 of them to get you drunk [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

As much as I demonize the big domestic 3, Coors, Miller and Budweiser, I will admit they are tolerable for a mass-quantity/lake BBQ type event.

What I can't wrap my head around is that 'Light' shit. Seriously...you guys LIKE drinking watered down beer? That's all Coorsweiser-Highlife does to make Light.... they either add more water to the finished product or reduce the amount of fermentable grains, to get the same result, less 'beer' and more water by volume

Blech.

This is not my picture nor my PoS computer, but:

Hacker Pschor Weiss has to be one of the best I've ever tried. If you grab a bottle, make sure you look up how to pour it on the net (and hopefully you get the glass that's in the picture).

It's surprising to me that so many unique beers are being posted in this thread. I bartend and can honestly say that 90% of beer sold are your usual domestic varieties: ML, BL, M64, MGD, Miller, Bud, Coors etc.

This deeply saddens me. So many good brews and microbrews out there that the general public will never get to enjoy, simply because they've been brainwashed by mediocrity and Superbowl commercials.

I could really go for a cold unfilter weiss with a slice of lemon right about now...

The local micro (before it closed) made something very comparable to Hacker-Pschorr and I swear we used to get a growler of it a weekend during the summer.

I know a lot of people that don't drink Budweiser because they think it tastes like shit but gladly drink Bud Light. I guess they're too used to the watered down stuff. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
