They were created at the same time as the “beasts of the field” presumably, but were mostly killed off with dragons and giants. Actually I have a hunch that dinosaurs are a revisionist way of discrediting the existence of dragons at some point. Still a few holdouts that have become mythical, like the small isolated group that get spotted once in a while in Loch Ness, the giant of Kandahar etc. there are cave paintings in Africa of dinosaurs that even contemporary Africans are probably oblivious to
