Whats there is fine, really! Another server would just lead to more of the same moaning by the same people.

P99 = Velious Clone
P2002 = PoP Clone
TAKP = AlKabor PoP Clone

Why dont TAKP remove boxing, then all the dudes on P99 that say boxing puts them off could play post-Velious content there? Then they'd have a sporting chance to catch up with P2002 as well?

I played on Test server for a long time back in the Luclin/PoP era on Live. This was when it still played like a regular server (no transfers or anything poisoning it from outside), just with occasional... weirdness, and GMs actually present and willing to talk right in chat (the GMs were also a part of the weirdness, tbh). It was great, small community, people exploring learning and raiding together, few hard feelings, plentiful targets and content.

Takp is the closest thing I have seen since then to that atmosphere. It's what I want from EQ now.

I log in Fieldfare from time to time on p99, mostly to rez people in Unrest. I do play on Phinny because I have many friends there still and PoP is an exceptionally cool expansion in many regards (plus being a frog is cool). But Takp is where I expect my playtime to still feel like the EQ I have loved for eighteen years. What a great server, glad I found it.
