Because humans can only come from humans and chimps can only come from chimps. The fact that you need to be enlightened about things that are blatantly obvious speaks volumes about how dumb you actually are.

Evolutionists actually say humans and chimps had a common ancestor, not that humans descended from chimps. By their logic your great (times 200,000) grandpa had great (times 200,000) grand kids, some that are chimps and some that are human.

As you point out, one animal doesn't magically turn into another, so speciation under the evolution model must be a slow process that takes many (hundreds? thousands? more?) of generations.
