This exact same thing has been happening to me in the past couple weeks. Randomly, without any lag or warning I'll be kicked straight to character select. Not to the main login screen mind you but actual character select. I'm playing on a macintosh 10.8.2 on a macbook air via the wineskin wrapper and using Timewarner Cable in the Los Angeles Area. This problem happens whether I'm on my home internet or my office internet. This has NOT been an issue in the past. It happens multiple times in a play session.

I remember having this same kind of disconnect issue in World of Warcraft. It was beyond annoying because it wasn't an immediate disconnect. It was kind of a "you know it's coming thing" where you can't do anything for 20-30 seconds and then bam, disconnected. It would happen randomly, then not at all for a couple weeks, and then come back. Pretty sure it was from somewhere in the lines between me and the server. Nothing you can really fix. Issue is returned. Still confident my client is interacting incorrectly with the server. I've reinstalled three times.

This absolutely has to be a simple issue of my client/computer/whatever having "hiccups" in the communication with the server. Any ideas?

Uninstalled *everything* for the 5th time. Reinstalled without WinEQ or Duxa's. Ran EQEmu ONCE, didn't log in. Downloaded changes v27, and made "patchme" shortcut. For NOW I have not disconnected. Will update.

The only reason to use WinEQ is for the multi-core processor fix. I hope your issue is finally resolved!

This problem returned EXACTLY when my router was unplugged. As soon as I got reconnected, I got into EQ and the disconnects started up again. Any ideas?
