Yea this is correct, and I'm well aware of this whole criticism of agnosticism. The reason I put agnostic instead of atheist is simply because:

1. Agnosticism admits the insufficiency of explanation found in belief systems (Atheism, theism). It is the acknowledgement of unknowable truth.

2. If there's a word for the attitude "I'm atheist, but I acknowledge the factual insufficiency and inherent unknowableness of atheism", well that's me.

3. That makes me an agnostic atheist.

4. I didn't want this to turn into a discussion

I don't have anything against theists, many of my best friends have been religious people and of all the best people I've actually met, the majority were christian.

Agnostic Atheist - Believes that God does not exist nor does he care if he exists. This person doesn't see any proof that he exists one way or another, and has decided that he must not be there. This is what is called being logical - I see no proof of existence, therefore there must be proof. Most people would call this classification 'agnostic'.
This basically

I still reserve the right to bash cultlike scam religions with prophets known for their tall tales.

In high school I used to live across the street from a Mormon house. Their daughters were p sexy. They were intelligent and successful, but sometimes people who are otherwise logical and functional get caught up in some pretty outlandish belief systems-- it's hard to escape your upbringing and your community.

I often fantasized about corrupting them with my secular agnostic lifestyle and worldview. They went off to BYU and I think one is a doctor and the hotter one is a wife and mom.

They could have lived in darkness with me, man.
You sound like....me! But I can say, my lady's ex is a mormon and hes a pretty damn good guy. But I was raised to always ignore them and the crazy people that knocked on the door. I got no beef with them though, Joseph smith was a fake, but hey we all need something to believe in I guess.

Oh, also the leader of Mormonism personally ordered the massacre of European settlers then scapegoated it onto one of his lackeys.

You do realize that the multiple wives thing is the FLDS and not the LDS church, right?

The LDS church banned polygamy a very long time ago. Do people just not know this or do they refuse to acknowledge it because its humorous?
