Let's say ur grp has 1 slot for a tank and there's a halfling warrior (+14.5% XP bonus) and an iksar SK (-68% XP penalty), both of them are good players, which one will u pick to grp with?

High level, I'd take the assling, but pre-55, I'd take the SK. Him tanking so I can pull the next thing is going to make the group smoother than me tanking with a small exp bonus. "Good player" all you want, obsidian shards are shit for aggro, yaks can keep mobs off me if you have the Dex, but that's not til 37 at the earliest.

Whoever asked first :P

If no one asked...well, I am at a loss. I am an Ogre SK so I have to have love for myself. But I do like halflings... lol

The XP penalties shouldn't be thought of at all really...judge who you group with by their capabilities.

You're going to get more XP with a good troll shadowknight, then you will with a bad halfling warrior tank.

Again, it has nothing to do with who's in my group. I just wanted to be a little more educated with grouping. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I always find it funny why people group with iksar monks, when their penalties are about the same as a regular hybrid.

Would you get the exp penalty for grouping with a troll sk or do only they have it?
They're shared because they feared that friends without the penalty would outlevel their freinds who have it. So they shared it to ensure that people will stick within range of each other.

You can read about it here:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/edit...rs_letter.html

They only removed experience penalty sharing when they removed class experience penalties. So this means that racial experience penalties were shared in groups previous to 1/14/01 at least. Some years later in september 2006 they went the extra mile and removed all experience penalties from the races.

Here's the Patch Notes for it:

and saw this:

we decided that the most appropriate action for several underutilized dungeons would be to increase the ZEM; that is, increase the amount of experience that everyone gets when adventuring in the zone.
As of the next patch, you will receive additional experience (per kill) in the following zones:
Droga increased by 12%
Nurga increased by 12%
Solusek's Eye (SolA) increased by 13%
Najena increased by 13%
Befallen increased by 13%
Paw increased by 13%
Permafrost increased by 13%
Kaesora increased by 18%
Qeynos Catacombs increased by 20%
Runnyeye increased by 20%
Kerra Ridge increased by 20%
The Hole increased by 25%

Kinda cool, could anything like this happen here? or does progression end the day velious releases?
