Autofire and FTE. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

There are many ways to "autofire". There are programs out there that are just button mashing programs which i have been told on live are legal aslong as you are at the computer when using them. They don't do anything to EQ code etc and were used heavy by rangers back in the day before /autofire was put into game. If something like this is what your are talking about then it should be allowed here since it was/is on live aslong as you are at the PC.

Edit: i mean legal for auotfire purposes not setting up FTE for a raid mob.

Let's not beat around the bush. We are talking about Noble Djorn - a mob that spawns exactly 7 days after it is killed. TMO uses autofire to claim FTE on this mob every week. No matter how many times it has been contested, a TMO member gets FTE on this mob every week. Apparently variance is the only thing keeping TMO from autofiring FTE on every mob in the game. I got fte on Djorn about 4 weeks ago and I did it by spamming F8 with attack on. I got the first punch. No trick involved. I was casting flux staff too but my punch is what got fte.

People sit there for two-to-five minutes until the spawn time mashing their keyboards and targeting keys and leaving auto attack on.

The more people doing that, the more chances you get!

Why would autofire be required if we know when it will spawn down to the second? If we won every single Trak FTE sock this argument might actually seem plausible.

Well I was thinking the opposite. Trak spawns and randomly agroes whoever is near before anyone can target him and punch or use a spell. So the fact that Noble isnt KOS, and TMO gets FTE everytime but doesnt get FTE everytime on Trak poops, is why I bring Noble into this debate.
