I too was intentionally not bumping the petition because I thought it was frowned upon - I did hear a response back today, so thank you Ambrotos. Even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear!

Out of curiosity - how many petitions would you feel are "active"? Meaning they are being discussed/worked on/reviewed/looked into etc. Not just "looked at". But physically something is being done about them, or they are "on hold" waiting for a log or something but in some form are being "handled"?

Depending on the number - a possible solution to make it "easier" to find certain petitions is to simply enforce a no bump rule, start at the back and "sticky" petitions being "worked on". This allows you to always keep the ones you need at hand without it being bumped to page 4, as well as allows people to know their petitions are being reviewed in the order they were received, and not who has the most time to sit and "bump" their petition 30 times a day until it gets answered.
