The only things I've ever pushed for are design considerations made for the lower population, and increased staff/dev interaction and moderation on the forums (for obvious reasons). I try to do this without disrespecting them too much because I do appreciate what they are providing here for free.

Not everyone is a selfish brat trying to get their way. Some are looking at the big picture with genuine concern (ie: what will make it most successful for the majority of potential players).

I never really personally cared about the exp rate in itself, for example. I did care that the lower level zones were completely empty (read: NOT classic) and that a huge number of players from TZ/VZTZ were quitting because they hated the exp grind coupled with the lack of player interaction. It's not really that complicated. Most people aren't going to play what was remembered as a highly socially interactive MMO on a server where you are forced to grind by yourself 99% of the time. Maybe the former necro players and the guys who were already 50 seven months ago are still enjoying it, but that's obviously a small number of players.

This isn't to excuse the trolls who shit all over the forums intentionally - just pointing out that there are valid points of feedback here.

If that was a crack at me, I AM looking at the big picture and whats best for the server. Its just that i dont think devs agree with me and core pop doesnt wanna let go of the major advantage they get over new fishes through xp loss in pvp.

I am kind of annoying but i know im right, Rallos was a blast cuz of the constant pvp. Here its not a blast if you aint got a big crew, youll get owned by twinks and zergs. On rallos it would happen as well, but you could do it all day and get better at it without losing xp. You could lose gear but everyone rolled around with no drop gear/naked or they were hardcore twinks that were fun to take down as a group of noob because of a nice piece of gear.

Badmartigan being an example of people running around naked pvping all day.

PVP xp loss only advantages zergs, so unless you come here with 10 of your buddies you can expect them to leave the server pronto.

Kunark will not help, youll see a pop increase for a while then it will drop again.

Just a crazy time sink, I play for pvp and the amount of time required to level/camp shit to become pvp capable makes me want to puke to think of what I went through - back on a couple thousand pop server I could log on and pvp for hours but here it's just the same handful of people you're fighting over and over, the same shit talk - very little quality as far as dedicated pve leadership other than Nihilum. I hate to say it but without several guilds capable of doing raid mobs, it just creates a stagnant server - and I definately don't have the patience, time and probably the talent to suffer through the hand holding that would be required.

I remember TZ there was probably what, Kotwr/Sotg/Aotl/PDM/lex invictus/FOI and so many smaller but still decently active guilds that are too many to list, obviously some more dominant than others, but it made a fun variety/mix into the server and not just the same old shit.

People crying about the exp rate especially is because it's just too boring to grind to 50, let alone nearly impossible for several melee, RIP titanuk/Naikon - need more people at 50 and maybe would lead to more competent people at 50 who wouldn't be sucked in by the only raid capable guild on the server.

Just to add, Holo had a lot of talented gamers who could easily do the task, but didn't have the time or desire to - and we were basically a captainless ship since the get go heh.

i dont get why anyone still mad. unless you want hard coded teams there is a server for you. there is ez99 where xp is slightly increased but absolutely no pvp or competition. then ther eis ez69 where there is super increased xp to the point of lol but plenty of pvp and competition. Everyone for ffa should be happy.

the true butthurt are those that take time out of their lives to give someone a hard time on an internet forum about a decision they make for themselves. so funny. people quit because they no longer have interest in something, and then other people obsess over it claiming the people that quit are butthurt, but in reality they are just moving on to other shit in life that they enjoy, while some poor fool is foaming at the mouth on a message board to someone that just doesnt care.

not that i've quit, just find this extremely entertaining.
