what if what we enjoyed about classic eq was grouping? sure red99 is ez mode with a solo class, i mean you can pretty much find a whole zone to yourself. if classic eq is soloing your way to 50 then raiding then yes this server offers YOUR classic experience. if you are more of a grouper who likes to try dungeons or play a group oriented class you will not get the classic experience. if you are looking for wars between two to three huge guilds you will not get your classic experience.

Perhaps rather than an across the board exp boost, some sort of large group bonus can be made, or hot zones in areas that basically require a group. Maybe an exp modifier to melees that makes them beneficial to group since the modifier is shared with group. Dunno, just throwing ideas out there. Not everyone wants to play a Druid or Mage.

Harrison saying classic eq too hard for people, plays a solo class. bet if he rolled an untwinked warrior his ass wouldnt make it past 20.

I would be 100% for a massive group bonus rather than an across the board ezmode faggotry that's already in place.

Makes more sense, and would promote actual gameplay/socialization which is what makes this game thrive. Experience alone doesn't make a server.

Side note, boxing is classic. Boxing would solve this problem.

and i agree, i never wanted xp bonus across the board because all this did is push solo classes to solo even more. for the sake of the solo warrior/sk/pal though I guess something had to be done. im 1000% in for group xp bonuses. of course they would need to code this better so people couldnt just invite oor people to group for bonus xp (like druid/shams do with charmed animals to recieve full xp.)

agree too. I'd be for removing the "across the board xp bonus" and replaceing it with two things:

1. class xp based penalty applied to the individual only. its warranted because the hybird is more powerful/versitle then say a warrior, but it being shared out discorages grouping and community

2. group bonus increased to compensate for the aformentioned across the board xp bonus. to once again give the non solo classes a leg up by encourageing the solo classes to bring them into their groups by said group bonus.

i'd be happy with just #2. we dont have boxing so as to encourage grouping/community. The "xp bonus" should be crafted to go hand and hand with encourageing grouping and community too. Not across the board so the druids level just that much quicker and the warirors level at the same speed (not at all, lfg in town) or (sorta ok by exploiting specters in rivers like we see everyday on red99 now).

im one of the few druids who actually prefers grouping than soloing. i guess i am partly to blame for not being able to get a group because most of the grouping was in Unrest and at the time Uprising controlled that zone.

You think they will want to join up on a supposed 'dead server'? I'm still having fun playing on the server... and if you aren't play something else.

Let this be the final post about the state of the server!
heh,, your missing the point., that is exactly what they want the players that quit the game want to make sure the server has a low pop so they can justify their actions of quitting,,. pop will keep dropping when new games come out and people go try them,, expect the haters to attribute the losses to the server and not the fact that there are new games that have been years in the making coming out,, as long as people logon and play, even if its not at the same time the server will not get shutdown as long as blue is up so potentially you have a large playerbase to work with when expansions are released on red,, server has been out for 6 months how long do you think people will play classic without getting bore??
