What was your first online gaming experience?

diablo 1, followed by Ultima Online

The first game I played online was the original Doom with a 2400 baud modem. It seemed pretty amazing though I only played the one time online. Warcraft 1 got me started on regular online play. My first mmorpg was a MUD by the name of Gemstone 3 in the mid 90's. It was an even slower grind than Everquest but a hell of a lot of fun.

I think Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II was the first game I ever played online.

EQ was my first MMO though.

Duke Nukem was awesome. My son had a Mage in 1999 live named Duke Nukem on Torvo I think.

I have friends who played eq live with me back in Kunark who didn't know there was a duke nukem prior to the 3d one [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I can still hear the noises in my head from grabbing those delicious little popcans and whatnot for $$$$points.

I remember spending hours playing The Settlers 3 online in middle school. I also played the original Rainbow Six online religiously.
