Is it just me, or were dragons just meant to look and move like they do in EQ?

They just look so much more bad ass in EQ than in any other game I can remember playing.

My only complaint with EQ dragons is they walk an awful lot for the impressive wingspan they have. At least WoW dragons have flying phases where they take flight like dragons would expect. (ya, I'm expecting the rant on the WoW mention).

Sure the wow dragons fly. But they don't loot like they should be able to get off the ground, they hover in place, they fly around in little 100-yard-long lairs, etc. That spoiled them for me.

I know, I know. They're magical lol it's not real life realism in MMOs lol. But still.

And the EQ dragons walk around in caves barely taller than the dragons. And the ones outside of VP walk while they chase my bard ass back to a group of my buddies. I'm sure Sev/Tal/Gore would have a much easier time catching me if they took to the skies.

Neither design is perfect. I will agree EQ dragons look mightier when they throw their wings out, such as in Jeremy's picture.
