Blue had global ooc till the population got too large. Keep your uneducated comments to yourself, saves us both time.

What it would be used for here is nothing like what it was used for on blue.

Why not?
.

Very easy way to comunicate with other players already, its called /tells or p99 IRC.

All this "oh but I have a life and EQ too hard to find groups" is just a smokescreen for the true desire to just add another element of griefing to those who play this server to only grief.

99 percent of those who want global OOC are also the same people constantly making threads bragging about training noobs with specs in Oasis and killing people 400+ times (literally) at their bind spot. That should tell you everything you need to know about global ooc.

Devs got trolled into giving a xp bonus with the whole "its for the noooobs!" ... how has that worked out for server pop btw? lol.

Lets not get fooled again by the same trolls who play here only to grief and seek a captive gobal /ooc audience to spam with "i keeeeled you *****!" all night long.

Don't really care about global OOC either way, just wanted to correct you on this point.

I didn't like the XP bonus one bit when it was implemented either. Server population since patch has increased noticeably at peak times, though, and it's certainly encouraged people to try out/start on the server judging by the amount of new people I pass by in some of the lower level zones.

Granted, there's not a lot of new players in fearplane atm so I can see why you haven't taken notice of the effects. Understandable.

Why is it always ignored that P99 blue had global OOC for months until it maintained a steady 400-500 population for this exact reason? It was determined that it would be good to put in a drastic thing like global ooc for p99 blue for months but to utilize it for this PVP server is out of the question (just because p99 blue doesnt use it anymore?). It doesnt make sense, what the OP posted here is exactly what is happening to anyone trying to start on the server and remember this is just one player who decided to take the time out to make a post about it, but there are undoubtedly countless others who went through the same p99red experience.

The exp boost that was added is maybe a good start, but I'd say get rid of the exp boost and put in global OOC to help finally get the server the population it deserves

Why is it ignored that blue OOC was almost permaspammed for weeks by anonymous trolls literally flooding it so hard that you couldn't use the channel?

This was with a less disgusting population, too, and generally an all around helpful community.

You guys have had a server with global OOC, Yellow Text, and fast experience. How is it doing now?
