![]() Shaman is a late-peaking class. Druids are an early-mid peaking class.
Shaman are probably, overall, the most powerful class in the game at 60 with all their spells (Granted, Torpor is expensive as hell) and even *decent* gear. Druids are probably, overall, one of the worst classes at 60. They've got some nifty tools, but the array of druid skills are just spread too thin to be seriously helpful. Charming rats in hate is pretty sick DPS, though.

![]() As I understand it, Shamans are highly desired in groups/raids for their stat buffs, slows, and as a secondary healer. Not as good as a Druid healer, but with cannibalism you have less downtime, which is a good thing considering all the buffs a Shaman has to keep on people.
If you want to solo at 60 and make profit porting, Druid is the way to go, but for raiding/groups, Shaman is way preferred.

![]() I've seen it said before about this exact same comparison and I'll say it again here, because I think it sums it up pretty well:
The slow spell is more powerful than the entire Druid class.

![]() Track and Porting is pretty OP. Not that either of those will help you actually kill the target like slow will, but don't underestimate those skills.
That's one of the things I enjoy about EQ, the skills that aren't directly related to combat that are still game-changing.

![]() Having played a Druid and Shaman. I can say Hands down that Shaman has been a much better time. I am constantly asked to be in a group, where my druid would be LFG for hours.
SHAMAN FTW | ||
